Capriza releases new functionality every 2-3 months. In addition to the latest release, the Capriza Designer supports the two most recent previous versions, enabling you to continue to edit your Zapp using the same Capriza version. You may also continue to utilize Zapps built on older Capriza versions but will be required to upgrade your Zapp if you want to make any changes. Please note that Capriza generally officially supports each version of our platform for 18 months.
As a best practice, you are encouraged to upgrade your Zapp with each new release in order to take advantage of new features and functionality. The following provides step-by-step instructions for upgrading your Zapp.
Upgrading Your Zapp
To upgrade your Zapp, visit the Zapp Versions page and click the three dots icon on the version you wish to upgrade. Select "New Version."
If your Zapp was created with one of the two most recent versions, the following pop up will appear, encouraging you to use the newest Capriza version. To upgrade, make sure "Use new version" is toggled on and click "Next."
If your Zapp was created with an older Capriza version, a popup explaining that you must upgrade in order to make changes will appear. Click "Next" to proceed.
In both scenarios, you will be taken to the Getting Started page to create your new Zapp version.
Testing Your Upgraded Zapp
While upgrading a Zapp, especially between more recent versions, should generally not result in any issues, it is still recommended that you complete a round of testing with multiple user accounts and roles prior to pushing the new version to Production. Please see Testing your Zapp for more information.
