The contents of this article are also covered in the following video.
Adding a Data Enhancement to a Table or List
Use the Data Enhancement control in the Capriza Designer to add interactive content to existing tables and lists in your Zapp. Interactive content includes: scroll bars, navigation buttons, actions that apply to the entire row (added as swipe action), etc.
In order to create a table with interactive content, you must first capture the table or list using the Data: Table or Data: List controls. Then, select Data: Data Enhancement to begin adding your interactive content.
You will then be prompted to select an item within the table/list.
Once selected, identify the type of interactive item you wish to capture from the following items:
- Item for "Scroll Bar"
- Item for "Previous"
- Item for "Next"
- Item for "Navigation Bar"
- Item for Selecting Entire Row/Group
- Item for acting on an entire row/group (may be outside the table)
Item for "Scroll Bar"
If you select Item for "Scroll Bar," the Designer will prompt you to select the scroll bar's draggable item.
Once captured, the scrollbar will be added to the table and you will receive a success message.
Item for "Previous" or "Next"
If you select Item for "Previous" or "Next," a message will appear asking you to select the previous or next button.
Once captured, you will receive a success message.
Item for "Navigation Bar"
If you select Navigation Bar, the Designer will ask you to select all relevant navigation options to include in the resulting dropdown menu. Click each item individually to capture, and, once complete, click again to save.
The Designer will ask you to confirm if the text it has captured from each control is correct.
Verify the text and click correct. A confirmation message will appear.
If you mark the text as incorrect, the Designer will prompt you to capture the data enhancement again.
The resulting navigation controls will render in the mobile preview as arrows at bottom left corner of the table. Pagination information (i.e. 1-10 of 100) is included to the right.
Item for Selecting an Entire Row/Group
If you select Item for Selecting an Entire Row/Group, the Designer will ask you for the row's current state (selected or unselected).
If you select unselected, you will be prompted to select the row. Once selected, a confirmation message will appear.
If you select selected, you will be prompted to highlight the currently selected row.
You will then be asked to unselect the row.
Once completed, a confirmation message will appear.
Item for Acting on an Entire Row/Group
You may also select an item that acts on an entire row/group, such as controls to add a new row, delete a row, deselect a row, etc.. As opposed to the other Data Enhancement options, these controls can be located outside of the table area.
If chosen, the Capriza Designer will ask whether this action requires a row to be selected or not.
Regardless of the option selected, you will then be prompted to choose the type of item to be captured. Depending on the nearby controls detected by the Designer, options may button, checkbox, popup menu, dropdown, etc.
You will then be prompted to capture the relevant control.
Once captured, a confirmation message will display.
Tap actions can also be set on entire rows via Style mode. Please see the Set Tap Action On The Entire Table Row article for more information.
