Declaring Pages

When navigating through a Zapp within the Designer, the Declarative Pages widget provides you with the option to connect a new or existing Zapp page.

The Declarative Pages widget provides four options:

  1. Create a New Zapp Page.
  2. Connect an Existing Zapp Page.
  3. Import a Zapp Page.
  4. Select the Zapp page suggested by Capriza as the most likely match (if available).

How It Works

When navigating to a new context in the source application, the Declarative Pages widget pops up on the right side and automatically begins looking for a match from any existing Zapp pages. The web view will be inactive/disabled while the widget is live to ensure that you do not accidentally grab controls.

Unless you have previously specified a connection for that particular page, the Capriza designer will not guess a destination page. Instead, you have the power to either create a new page or choose your destination manually from your current list of pages. This feature will minimize Context Not Found (CNF) issues.

Creating a New Page

To create a new page, select the Connect New Page button.

A blank Zapp page will be created. You may then begin to capture controls as normal.

Choosing An Existing Page

To choose an existing page, you may either click Connect Existing Page (to access the list of available Zapp pages) or, if correct, choose the page suggested by the Designer.

When you choose destination manually, you will see a scrollable list of all your zapp pages. Additionally, you can decrease/increase the page preview size. If you decide you need to create a new Zapp page instead of choosing a pre-existing page, simply click the blue button on the bottom right of the widget.

Importing a Zapp Page

You may also choose to import a page previously saved in another Zapp, making it easy to include confirmation messages, errors, profile pages, and other functionality that may be common to multiple Zapps.

To import a page, select Import Page button in the Declarative Pages widget.

A menu with available pages will appear. You may filter this view to show only pages created with the current version of the Designer or all pages. Search functionality is also available.

Once you've selected the desired page, click import.\

Note: You will not be able to import a page that does not match the Designer version of your Zapp.
