Customizing the Default Context Not Found (CNF) Message

As with any application, Zapps will occasionally run into errors. Errors may be due to source application issues, network issues, or, as detailed in the Errors article, design gaps that lead Capriza to return a Context Not Found (CNF) error. Capriza provides a default error message for CNFs. You may customize this default message to better match your organization’s branding and even include a support email or phone number.

To customize the default CNF message, click the gear icon in the upper right hand corner of the Designer.

Choose “Zapp Options” from the menu.


Under the "Error Page" tab of the resulting popup, there are three fields you can customize:

  • Title
  • Message
  • Image (can be uploaded from your computer or via URL)


The preview screen will automatically update as you make your changes. Once complete, click “Save Changes.”


The customized message will now serve as the default CNF page for your Zapps. Note that custom CNF messages can also be set up for particular errors in order to provide the end user with additional context. If an error is associated with one of these error-specific messages, it will override the default CNF message. Please refer to this article for more information.


You may also adjust the timing of error messages in your Zapp via the Zapp Options dialog. Please refer to Configuring Error Timing for more information.
